Senegalese FM: Iran plays an important role among Islamic countries

Following her visit to the Iranian Embassy in Dakar, the Senegalese Foreign Minister Yassine Fall told the Iran Press reporter, "I came to the Iranian Embassy to express sympathy with Iran. We are really sad and saddened by the news.

This is my first time at the Embassy and I wish I had come here under other circumstances. We are praying that Allah grants them Jannah."

She also emphasized that Iran plays "an important role among Islamic countries. Iran is also a friend of Senegal".

Dmitry Viktorovich Kourakov, The Russian ambassador to Senegal told the Iranpress reporter on the sidelines of his visit to the Iranian embassy that "the bilateral ties between Iran and Russia are not only politically motivated. Russian and Iran are very close friends. Our friendships dated from centuries", he can recall.

Nur SAGMAN, Turkish Ambassador to Senegal also stated at the premises that her country shares "very good neighboring relations with Iran" adding that Turkish declared a two-day mourning period in solidarity with Iran. This is a very tragic loss and we didn't expect this accident. I came here to express my deepest condolences to my colleague Ambassador. The purpose is also to tell him sorry and we are sharing the difficult moments that Iran is going through".

Also devasted by the sudden deaths, Imam Abdourahman Ba,  a Senegalese Islamic scholar says he is praying for a stronger and powerful Iran through the challenging times. As a Muslim brotherhood, we feel for the Iranian people. I, myself studied in Iran. We know this tragedy is from God and we should accept his decision. What happened is touching us more than the Iranian people themselves", he told our reporter in Dakar.
