Ahlulbayt News Agency: The scientific complex of the Holy Quran at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine held the closing ceremony for the graduation of the eighth batch of the Quranic project for students of religious sciences in Najaf.
The ceremony, which was supervised by the Holy Quran Institute in Najaf, was held in the presence of a number of religious authorities and officials at the holy shrine, as well as a group of Sheikhs and students of the project.
The ceremony began with the reading of verses from the Holy Quran by the reader, Mr. Abbas al-Mousawi, followed by the reading of Surah Al-Fatiha on the souls of the martyrs of Iraq, especially the martyrs of the Hawza who responded to the Holy Defense fatwa, after which the audience listened to the speech of the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine delivered by the director of the institute, Mr. Muhannad al-Mayali.
In his speech, Al-Mayali said that "the project includes four specialized programs, namely the educational program, which includes the establishment of Quranic courses in recitation, the rules of Tajweed, the sciences of the Holy Quran, interpretation curricula, and the (yuballighoon) program, which is interested in preparing a number of preachers, through the establishment of specialized courses, and this year included (85) districts and villages in (11) Iraqi governorates with the participation of (58) preachers, and reading project programs to prepare glorious readers in the Iraqi way to participate in the revival of Quranic forums and specialized competitions in the field of recitation, and a research program aimed at encouraging hawza writers to write and compose in the sciences of the Holy Quran".
The ceremony included a speech by students of religious Sciences, delivered by Sheikh Ammar Al-Fayyad, during which he thanked the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine represented by the Institute of the Holy Quran in Najaf, affiliated to the scientific complex, for its great efforts that contributed to the dissemination of knowledge and religious thought in society.
The events included the presentation of a documentary film about the Quranic project for Religious Science students, which dealt with all the details of the project, in terms of the goals it aims to achieve for the community, how it started, what it offers to its students through the courses it offers, as well as the types of those courses, the number of participating students and their nationalities.
The ceremony concluded with the establishment of a condolence Council for Lady az-Zahra (peace be upon her), as Sheikh Abdullah Al-Dujaili ascended the pulpit, followed by honoring a number of religious schools where the courses of the project for 2024 were held, the accreditors of the religious authority office in the Iraqi provinces, the professors supervising the course of preparing Quranic professors within the project, the professors participating in the program (Yuballighoon), the first students on the courses, the winners of the Quranic competition included in the project, as well as honoring the staff of the Institute of the Holy Quran in Najaf Al-Ashraf.
