Ahlulbayt News Agency: The head of the Engineering Projects Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, engineer Dia al-Sa'egh, stressed that the focus is primarily on projects to serve and welcome the millions of visitors.
Al-Sa'egh received the delegation of the Ministry of Planning headed by the director general of the Department of government investment programs at the ministry, Mr. Adel Abdul Zeid, and conducted a tour of a number of expansion projects at the holy shrine.
The head of the Projects Department, Mr. Dia al-Sa'egh, said that"the projects of the holy shrine are studied in detail, focusing primarily on visitor service projects, and then other projects, as the projects of visitor service inside the holy shrine and its surroundings are represented by horizontal expansion projects, and the creation of new courtyards to accommodate the increasing numbers of visitors.
He added that"the courtyards of Umm Al-Baneen (peace be upon them) and the great Bab al-Qibla of Aba al-Fadl (peace be upon him) and the grand museum projects are large service projects that accommodate large numbers of visitors in a spiritual atmosphere, and provide the appropriate atmosphere of cooling, organization and other services".
Regarding some details of the projects, al-Sa'egh explained that"the area of the two floors of the Umm al-Baneen Courtyard Project(Peace be upon them) is 20 thousand square meters, each floor is located on an area of 10 thousand square meters, while the large museum project includes a large minaret with a height of 80 meters, symbolizing the beginning of the expansion of the Shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas(peace be upon him)".
"These projects were the focus of the attention of government agencies from the province of Karbala, as well as ministries, as these are service projects provided to visitors,"he said.
