Prominent Lebanese Shia scholar Allameh Korani passes away

Allameh Sheikh Ali Korani, one of the prominent Lebanese Shia scholars and writers, passed away.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Allameh Sheikh Ali Korani, one of the prominent Lebanese Shia scholars and writers, passed away.

His books are famous in Mahdism and he is considered one of the great researchers of the Imams' history. The late Korani was one of the resistance mujahids and its supporters.

He was one of the students and companions of Martyr Sayyed Muhammad Baqir Sadr and an active member of Islamic Dawa Party, and because of this, he brought some of the elders and commanders of Hezbollah to this party.

Grand Ayatollah Hakim sent him to Kuwait as his representative and after his death, Grand Ayatollah Khoei chose him as his representative.

He was very active in political and social fields and was one of the founders of Rasool Akram Mosque and Hospital in Beirut.

Allameh Korani establishing the Jurisprudential Encyclopaedia Cente and produced the first comprehensive computer program in the Islamic world, which included 3,000 book volumes and reached 4,700 volumes.

He was also a victim of the Baath party's assassination, who shot him in the head from close range, but the bullet got stuck in his skull and he survived, and the bullet remained in his body as a document of the Baathist's crimes.
