Works of two grid of basement of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Jawad reach more than 75 percent (+Photos)

The percentage of completion of the grids of the basement of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Jawad (peace be upon them) in the Shrine of Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them) has reached more than (75) percent.

AhlulBayt News Agency: The percentage of completion of the grids of the basement of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Jawad (peace be upon them) in the Shrine of Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them) has reached more than (75) percent.

The head of the grids' industry of the holy shrines at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Mr. Nadhem al-Gharabi, said that "the two grids will be installed in the two basements under the Holy Sanctuary of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), and the works are being carried out in multiple parallel lines to ensure their completion within the time plans prepared for them".

He added,"the staff of the department completed the installation of the 16 clips of the two knotworks, the length of each grid is (9) meters and the height is (2.90) cm, while the finishes included the installation of the Quranic inscription, which tops the two grids, and the total length of the inscription is more than (33) meters evenly distributed on the two grids and its height is (19) cm, thickness is (5) mm, made of copper.".

The head of the Department for the manufacture of grids of the holy shrines noted that "the inscription was made of copper, the Surahs was witten using the Thuluth line, its letters were painted with gold, and the base with glazed enamel".

Al-Gharabi continued that"the Quranic inscription on the grid of the basement of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) is part of the surah of at-Tawbah, while the inscription on the grid of the basement of Imam al-Jawad (peace be upon him) is part of the surah of al-Waqe'ah".

The works included, according to Al-Gharabi, the completion of installing pieces of Decorative band over the grids, completing the grid from the inside and covering it with artistically decorated wood, and reached advanced proportions, pointing out that the Department's staff is working on the manufacture of metal parts for the two grids, and then installing them on the wooden structure, stressing that the works were characterized by craftsmanship and durability, and manual and mechanical methods combined the heritage of the past and the modernity of execution.
