AhlulBayt News Agency: The Hamas official Khaled Al-Qaddoumi participated in the third Iranian-Arab dialogue conference in the Iranian capital, Tehran.

Iran’s Strategic Council for Foreign Relations, in cooperation with Al-Jazeera Center for Studies, is organizing this year a 3-day conference entitled “Dialogue for Cooperation and Interaction” with the participation of about 40 intellectuals and specialists from 15 Arab countries, including Palestine with the participation of the Palestinian intellectual Munir Shafiq.

The conference addresses the most important issues of the region, the Islamic world, Iranian-Arab relations, and current challenges. The attendees discussed the Palestinian issue and the developments of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.

In his speech at the conference, Shafiq stressed that “the Arab and Iranian nations are currently facing a necessary challenge that requires us to succeed in this dialogue despite the international ban,” saying that the current battle of Gaza demonstrates the need to make this dialogue a success so that it can play its role in this decisive stage and the battle for liberation.

“We are going through a decisive stage … Gaza must win in the ongoing war on the Strip,” he said, adding that “all indicators point to the imminent defeat of the Zionist-American axis in the Gaza war.”

The Iranian Foreign Minister, Hussein Amir Abdollahian, also stressed in his speech at the conference that Palestine and the Arab and Islamic region “will not reach stability and sustainable security unless the rights of the Palestinian people are achieved, especially self-determination.”

For his part, Kamal Kharazi, the head of Iran’s Strategic Council on Foreign Relations, underlined that “the ongoing Israeli war on Gaza with the US and European support represents the most important issue in the Middle East at the current stage,” calling for pressuring Israel and obliging it to end the war.
