Seminarians from 24 African countries partake in Qom convention

The “Quranic Muballiq (propagator)” annual gathering of African seminary students was held in Iran’s holy city of Qom.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The “Quranic Muballiq (propagator)” annual gathering of African seminary students was held in Iran’s holy city of Qom.

It was organized by the Qom branch of the International Quranic Propagation Center affiliated to the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein (AS) holy shrine.

Qassim al-Batat, head of the branch, said this was the second edition of the gathering.

He said the Al-Mustafa International University and Al-A’imat al-Huda Assembly cooperated in holding it.

He noted that more than 50 seminary students and scholars from 24 African countries, including Ivory Coast, Ghana, Senegal, Guinea, Niger, Kenya, Uganada, Sudan, South Africa, Rwanda, Malawi, Mozambique, Madagascar, Burundi and Cameroon took part in this year’s convention.

In an address to the gathering as the representative of the Astan, Sheikh Hassan al-Mansouri elaborated on the Quranic activities of the International Quranic Propagation Center.

He said the gathering aims to elevate the status of Quranic propagators in Africa.

Representatives of a number of Quranic and related centers and institutes also delivered speeches on the subject of Quranic propagation at the event.
