AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The student crowd held a protest march and rally in Dhaka demanding an end to the Israeli genocide in Palestine, an end to the occupation and a permanent ceasefire.
Various student organizations announced to hold this program in front of the US Embassy in Dhaka on Thursday. The police blocked the road when the students marched towards the US embassy to hold the program. Later, the students held a program on the street opposite the Jamalpur Twin Towers in North Badda's Pragati Sarani. Traffic was blocked on one side of the road for about an hour due to the rally.
Today around 12:15 PM, the students started marching towards the US Embassy in front of Subastu Tower in North Badda. Then the vehicles on the road got stuck due to the procession. Half a kilometer ahead of Jamalpur Twin Towers, the police had already created obstacles on the opposite side of the road. The procession stopped there. At one point, the students gathered on the road. The student crowd chanted from the rally "Free Free Palestine, Free Free Gaza, From the River to the Sea Palestine Will Be Free, Down with Zionism, Down with Israel, The United Nations is fake, Stop the massacre in Gaza immediately, Down with America."
On Thursday, hundreds of students and ordinary people started coming to the US Embassy in Dhaka with various banners and placards in favor of Palestine. The police made a barricade on the road about one kilometer before the embassy. After the police intervention, the students took a stand on the road.
The protesters demanded an immediate end to US aid to Israel. At the same time, they called the US government a hypocrite for helping Israel commit the worst genocide. Demonstrators have demanded that all those involved, including the Israeli prime minister, who killed children and women, be brought to justice. The students who went to the US embassy said that the occupying Israel is killing the citizens of Palestine indiscriminately. Western countries, including America, are helping Israel commit genocide by providing billions of dollars in arms aid.
