AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Along with students in other countries, including the US, the students of Brazil's Sao Paolo University held a gathering to condemn the Israeli regime's genocidal war on Gaza.
The American student protest movement began on April 17 at Columbia University in New York; the protesting students called on the university to cut off its relations with the Israeli institutions involved in the war on Gaza.
Holding a protest gathering at the History and Geography Faculty of Sao Paolo University, the students called on the university to cut off any academic cooperation with Israeli institutions.
The students said that any kind of research and technological cooperation with the Israeli regime meant the use of academic work against the people of Palestine and Gaza.
They also signed a petition, calling on other students of the country to join the movement. The anti-Israeli sit-in was initiated by 40 student organizations that are members of the Palestinian Solidarity Committee.
The student mobilization movement in Brazil in Brazil that kicked off on Thursday, with similar movements being scheduled to be held in other Brazilian universities.
The US-backed Israeli unprecedented genocide of the Palestinian people began on October 7, as the result of which over 34,900 people have so far been martyred and over 78,500 others have been wounded, besides the Gazans' struggling with famine and starvation created due to the war.
The anti-Israeli rallies and gatherings are spreading over the world.
