Lebanese Hezbollah hammers Israeli sites as Gallant visits division 91 HQ

Hezbollah resistance group pummeled Israeli settlements along the border with Lebanon on Wednesday, as Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant visited the Division 91st HQ in Branit Barracks, announcing a series of absurd threats.

In one out of eleven Hezbollah operations so far today, the Lebanese resistance group delivered a clear message to the Zionist entity by firing a Burkan heavy missile at Branit Barracks, shortly after the Israeli DM left the base, which houses the headquarters of the Division 91st in the Israeli army.

Wednesday’s strikes were resounding, as they employed both drones and missiles against targets located along the border between Lebanon and the occupied Palestinian territories.

Hezbollah’s Military Media declared that the strikes on Wednesday were “in support of the steadfast Palestinian people and honorable resistance, and in response to the Israeli enemy’s attacks on southern Lebanese villages, safe houses, and civilians.”

The first strike saw Islamic Resistance fighters hitting a structure used by Israeli soldiers in Mutela settlement, causing a direct hit, the first statement read.

The Islamic Resistance fighters also targeted two structures used by Zionist soldiers in Shlomi settlement, according to the second statement.

Al-Manar correspondents across the Lebanese southern villages reported several Israeli strikes on several border towns.

Later a structure used by Israeli soldiers in Menara settlement was targeted by the Islamic Resistance fighters, the third statement read.

Hanita Israeli settlement was the venue of the fourth Hezbollah strike, where the Islamic Resistance fighters hit two structures used by Israeli soldiers.

The fifth strike then targeted Avivim settlement, where two structures used by Israeli soldiers were hit by Hezbollah fighters, according to a statement released by the resistance group’s Military Media.

Later at 13:25, the Islamic Resistance fighters directly hit a bunker which Israeli soldiers were positioned in at Al-Raheb site with guided missiles, the sixth statement read, adding that the strike took place as the soldiers go into the bunker and “after monitoring and tracking the movement of the troops at the site.”

Al-Malkiya site was then the scene for a powerful strike in which the Islamic Resistance fighters directly hit a bunker that Israeli soldiers stationed in with guided missiles. The missiles were followed by artillery shells, the seventh statement noted, adding that the site spy equipment was targeted and destroyed in the strike.

The Islamic Resistance also launched an aerial operation with explosive-laden drones on the newly established command headquarters of the Western Brigade in Ya’ara, accurately hitting its target, the eighth statement read.

Hezbollah’s Military Media then declared that the Islamic Resistance fighters targeted the command headquarters of Brigade 91st in Branit Barracks with a heavy-caliber Burkan missile, hitting it directly, according to the ninth statement.

Later at 17:00, direct damage was caused to Al-Samaqa site in the occupied Lebanese hills of Kfar Shuba, which was targeted in the tenth strike with rocket weapons, the tenth statement read.

In the eleventh strike, the Islamic Resistance fighters targeted one of the newly installed technical systems at Al-Assi site with an explosive-laden drone, hitting it directly and destroying it.

The last statement for the day outlined that at 7:50 p.m., the Islamic Resistance fighters targeted an IOF force while it was moving in the vicinity of the Ramya site with artillery shells, inflicting direct hits.

Gallant: It Could Be a “Hot Summer”

Speaking to troops at the Division 91 HQ in Branit Barracks, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said “it could be a hot summer,” hinting at the possibility of an escalation with Lebanon’s Hezbollah.

“We have very significant, very heavy firepower, and we will make sure to activate it if there is a need and a reason,” he said, as quoted by Israeli media.

Meanwhile, he vowed to return the tens of thousands of Israelis displaced by Hezbollah’s attacks back to the northern settlements.

“We have pushed Hezbollah away from the lines of contact to significant distances, but this does not mean that it has disappeared,” Gallant claimed, addressing artillery reservists in the 91st Division.

“To return the residents safely, an agreement process or an operational process is needed. I am determined to return the residents to their homes safely and to rebuild the things that were destroyed,” he added.

Hezbollah strikes on Wednesday come after wide-scale drone and missile attacks on Israeli sites on Monday and Tuesday.

Two Israeli sodliers were killed in Hezbollah’s Monday strike on the Israeli settlement of Metula, an attack that was described by Israeli media as dangerous incident.
