Blocking aid delivery, closing crossings aggravate humanitarian crisis in Gaza

The Government Media Office (GMO) condemned in the strongest terms the ongoing murders committed by the Israeli occupation army against the Palestinian people, bombing hospitals and schools east of Rafah, closing the Rafah and Kerem Shalom crossings, and blocking aid delivery, stressing that the army is deliberately aggravating the humanitarian situation.

AhlulBayt News Agency: The Government Media Office (GMO) condemned in the strongest terms the ongoing murders committed by the Israeli occupation army against the Palestinian people, bombing hospitals and schools east of Rafah, closing the Rafah and Kerem Shalom crossings, and blocking aid delivery, stressing that the army is deliberately aggravating the humanitarian situation.

GMO said in a statement on Tuesday that the Israeli occupation army has decided to exacerbate the humanitarian situation in a disastrous way, in continuation of its genocidal war against the Palestinian people across the Gaza Strip, from north to south.

About 35 more civilians, children, and women have been killed over the past 12 hours, as Israeli occupation forces have been blocking aid delivery and closing the Rafah and Kerem Shalom crossings, and carrying on with its relentless airstrikes, it added.

The GMO statement warned that the situation in eastern of Rafah points to a real humanitarian catastrophe, not only in Rafah, but also throughout all governorates of the Gaza Strip which has been witnessing a tragic state of systematic starvation amid shortage of aid and supplies for seven successive months.

It called for immediate and urgent international intervention to pressure Israel to halt the aggression and stop the genocidal war against civilians, children, and women in Gaza.

It also appealed to the whole world to condemn this new crime, the crime of forced eviction of homes and property and the threat to continue killing and committing massacres against civilians.

The statement held the US administration, the international community, and Israel fully responsible for the continuation of the ongoing aggression and genocidal war against civilians being carried out in the complicity of the US administration and the failure of the international community to stop it over the course of the past seven months.

The GMO called on all countries of the free world to put pressure on Israel to stop the Rafah ground invasion and the genocidal war, and to open the crossings to evade a real humanitarian catastrophe.
