AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Iranian foreign minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has said that he has had a phone conversation with Ismail Haniyeh, Hamas resistance movement political bureau chief on Monday.
"Tonight, in a phone call with me, Ismail Haniyeh thanked the strong positions of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the President and the people of Iran in support of Palestine and Gaza," Amir-Abdollahian wrote in a post on social media.
The Iranian foreign minister said that the Hamas official explained the latest developments and stated that Hamas accepted the proposal for ceasefire proposed by Egypt and Qatar to stop the attacks of the Israeli regime, the exchange of prisoners, the lifting of the human blockade, etc.
"Now the ball is in the opposite side's court and we are honest in its intentions," Amir-Abdollahian further cited Haniyeh as saying in the phone call.
