‘Decapitated body’ among victims of Israeli raid on West Bank town

The Israeli regime’s forces have killed at least five Palestinians in a raid against a residential building in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank.

AhlulBayt News Agency: The Israeli regime’s forces have killed at least five Palestinians in a raid against a residential building in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank.

The raid took place on Saturday against the five-story house in the town of Deir al-Ghusun, roughly seven kilometers (4.3 miles) northeast of the city of Tulkarm, the Palestinian Information Center news website reported.

The fatalities were caused after the forces bulldozed the building, following a 15-hour-long siege, during which they kept the structure under fire.

The Israeli military said it had initiated the siege, hunting for “wanted resistance fighters,” the report said.

The military also alleged that one of its troops had been injured in the raid.

The Palestinian health ministry identified four of the victims as Tamer Fuqaha, 32, Alaa Shreiteh, 45, Asal Badran, 42, and Adnan Samara, 40.

“The fifth martyr was not identified yet, as his decapitated body was taken to Thabet Thabet hospital waiting for his identification,” the website reported.

The regime has remarkably intensified its aggression against the West Bank since October 7, when it started a genocidal war against the Gaza Strip.

Some 500 Palestinians have been killed across the occupied territory as a result of the escalation since the onset of the war that has so far claimed the lives of 34,654 people, mostly women and children.
