The 10th European Quran Competition was held in Hamburg.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The 10th European Quran Competition was held in Hamburg.

Dar Al-Qur'an Al-Karim, Hamburg Islamic Center, organized the 10th European Holy Quran Competition with the aim of publishing and promoting the culture of the Holy Quran and laying the foundation for the growth and prosperity of Quranic elites from April 19 to 21, 2024.

This course of competitions was attended by 270 contestants with the participation of more than 400 people interested in Quranic affairs from eight European countries including Germany, Austria, Sweden, The Netherland, England, Finland, France and Denmark in the fields of memorization, recitation, call to prayer, interpretation and concepts of the Holy Quran were held for men and women in two age groups, teenagers and adults.

The opening ceremony of this competition was held on Friday, April 19, with the recitation of God's words, the performance of Tawashih and the speech of Hujjat al-Islam Mofatteh, Imam and Director of the Hamburg Islamic Center.

The preliminary stage of this competition was held on Saturday, April 20, in two sessions, morning and afternoon, during which the participants competed in different fields in separate halls. Also, the competition of interpretation and concepts of the Holy Quran was also held in the afternoon of same day in the hall of the Anne Marie Schimmel Library of the Islamic Center of Hamburg.

The closing ceremony of the 10th European competition of the Holy Quran was held on Sunday with the speech of Hujjat al-Islam Mofatteh, imam and director of the Hamburg Islamic Center, and with the presence of a large number of people interested in the word of revelation, as well as scientific and cultural figures, during which the selected people in each discipline were announced and awarded by gifts.

At the end of this ceremony, the names of the top ranks of the 10th European Qur'an competition were announced, and more than 30 selected winners were given certificates and prizes.
