According to the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) news agency - Abna - the international conference "Islam; Religion, Dialogue, and Life" was held in the city of Sao Paulo, Brazil, with the presence of Ayatollah Reza Ramezani, Secretary General of the Ahl al-Bayt World Assembly as a special guest, and some religious and scientific personalities of South America.
The Infallible Imams (a.s.) are the leaders of dialogue and exchange of opinions
Ayatollah Ramezani, Secretary General of the World Assembly of Ahl al-Bayt (AS) in a speech at this conference, referring to the importance of science in the Shia view, stated: Science is the basis of all good, while ignorance is the basis of all evil. Amir al-Mominin (a.s.) said in a narration: "Whoever knew his soul was like who knew, and who was ignorant, his soul was like ignorant"; If a person knows himself correctly, he will also know other people correctly. All of us were assigned to know ourselves, "Knowing the soul". Aristotle wrote in his academy: Know yourself, self-knowledge is the key to human development and makes a person feel for all people.
He continued: Hazrat Amir al-Mominin (AS) has outstanding characteristics, one of which is "justice". I suggest that the book "Sout al-Adalah" written by "George Jordaq", a famous Lebanese Christian writer, be translated into Spanish and Portuguese. George Jardaq is the lover of Hazrat Amir al-Momineen (AS). Hazrat Amirul Momineen (AS) has an interpretation of the theme that there are two groups of people, one group can be religious brothers and the other group can be similar to you in creation.
Ayatollah Ramezani further considered the innocent imams (a.s.) as the leaders of dialogue and clarified: Our imams and religious leaders such as Imam Sadiq (a.s.) and Imam Reza (a.s.) used to talk to everyone, including Christians and Zoroastrians. We should talk to each other and understand and respect each other. Islam promotes a peaceful life. Humans should be together. Islam advocates the development of communication; it includes communication with oneself, communication with others, communication with God, and communication with nature.
Further, he considered the mission of divine prophets to bring mankind out of sensual and material life and clarified: We were not created just for this world, because we will all leave this world one day. Leaving this world is not equal to annihilation and nothingness, but life in a wider world. We must feel responsible for each other.
Responsibility of Muslims towards all humanity
The Secretary General of the World Assembly of Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.) added: A tradition has been narrated from the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) with the following content: "Whoever heard a man call out to a Muslim"; The one who hears the voice of a human being shouting, "O Muslims, reach me and help me", the one who hears this cry and does not respond, is not a Muslim. According to this narration, if a non-Muslim, be it a Christian or a Jew, or even an atheist, because he has been oppressed, asks a Muslim for help, and that Muslim, even though he can, does not answer the non-Muslim and does not help him, then he is not a Muslim at all.
He also added: I read in an article that today more than one billion children in the world suffer from malnutrition. If there is justice, there will be no more malnutrition in the world. If there is justice, there will be love and rationality among mankind, justice is the calling of all divine prophets. Today, religious leaders, scholars, and religious thinkers play an important role in realizing peace based on justice. With the sides of justice, spirituality, love, security, tolerance, and rationality, we can make heaven in this world.
Ayatollah Ramezani pointed out: My message is that dialogue is a necessary thing between religions to pay attention to the human essence. The essence of a human being is dignity, and to achieve dignity, it must be justice, rationality, and spirituality so that mankind can taste the taste of justice and freedom.
