Al-Kafeel nurseries affiliated with Al-Abbas shrine wins first place in Baghdad Intl Flower Festival (+Photos)

The Al-Kafeel nurseries group, affiliated with the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, won the first place in half at the thirteenth edition of the Baghdad International Flower Festival.

AhlulBayt News Agency: The Al-Kafeel nurseries group, affiliated with the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, won the first place in half at the thirteenth edition of the Baghdad International Flower Festival.

The Baghdad International Flower Festival was held in its thirteenth session on the Zawraa Gardens under the slogan (Baghdad.. Flowers and construction) with the participation of (11) Arab and foreign countries.

The group's official, Mr. Mohammed Harbi, said that"the group won the first place in the flower festival through its distinctive Pavilion, represented by the flowers in the Al-Kafeel nurseries, in addition to a number of local nurseries, and in this edition we worked to enhance the paragraphs of participation in the exhibition through various activities, including: writing seven words, and drawing the sword of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) with natural flowers."

He added that" the pavilion included (16) thousand seedlings, including (5) thousand picking roses, "pointing out that"at the opening, the group's staff distributed a thousand natural roses to the guests of the pavilion."

He added that" the natural roses used to form the models participating in the exhibition are of local production (from the group's nurseries), in addition, this year we worked as a place like a guesthouse to sit the visitors of the pavilion, provide places for their rest and serve Arabic coffee, "pointing out that"the roses that were in the pavilion were all distributed to the festival visitors."

"The aim of the participation is to showcase the capabilities of local Iraqi agriculture, as the festival witnesses the participation of Arab and foreign countries, in addition to contributing to spreading the culture of perpetuating flowers, plants and trees and expanding their cultivation to increase green spaces in order to protect the environment,"Harbi said.
