Ahlulbayt News Agency: The deputy secretary general of Hezbollah said the Lebanese resistance is making efforts to strengthen its power.
Sheikh Naim Qassem made the remark in a speech at a ceremony held to commemorate a martyr of the resistance movement.
“We will do everything in our power to stay strong,” he said, Al-Alam reported.
Those who think they can weaken the resistance had better think again, he added.
The Israeli regime seeks to infiltrate into Lebanon and other parts of the region and nothing but the resistance can stop it, he stated.
Sheikh Qassem also said that if it had not been for the resistance, Lebanon would have collapsed.
He further said the Lebanese resistance vowed to support the Gaza Strip and has kept its promise.
Hezbollah fought off two Israeli wars against Lebanon in 2000 and 2006, forcing a humiliating retreat upon the Tel Aviv regime’s military on both occasions.
