AhlulBayt News Agency: A mass grave with nearly 300 bodies has been uncovered at a hospital in the southern Gaza City of Khan Younis, Gaza’s government media office (GMO) said Monday, following the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the area earlier this month.
GMO that “today, 73 bodies were recovered” in the courtyard at the Nasser Medical Complex, which brought the “total number to 283.”
Medical staff and international personnel who have visited the hospital described it as a “graveyard” after Israeli forces raided the facility.
Three more mass graves were discovered on the hospital grounds, in addition to one found Monday. The civil defence department retrieved 73 bodies of women, children, and young men who had been missing for the past two months when the Israeli military first stormed the hospital.
The GMO indicated that the largest number of martyrs were women and children, explaining that the occupation forces deliberately bulldozed dozens of bodies and buried them before withdrawing from any area.
About 2,000 Palestinians have disappeared after the occupation forces withdrew from the medical facility, it added.
