AhlulBayt News Agency: The Hamas Movement condemned on Monday the statements made by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, in which he blamed the Movement for allegedly obstructing a ceasefire agreement.
“Blinken’s statements are untrue and contradict the evidence that Hamas repeatedly offered flexibility in order to help reach an agreement to end the war of aggression and genocide against our people. This was in contrast to Netanyahu and his government’s intransigence and procrastination, which aimed to prolong their rabid war against our people and put numerous obstacles in the way of the agreement, demonstrating that the Israeli captive issue is not a top priority.”
“Since day one, Hamas has made clear its demands, which are the same as what it presented last March and which the mediators and all parties accepted. They represent the national position of our people, mainly a permanent ceasefire, the withdrawal of the occupation forces, the return of the displaced people, intensified relief, and reconstruction.”
The Movement emphasized that the US is still playing a hostile role against our people by falsely blaming Hamas, “despite being a full partner in the war of genocide against our people and continuing to provide political cover, weapons, and ammunition to the occupation.”
