AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): A series of mourning rituals and religious programs are planned to be organized at the holy shrine of Hazrat Abdul Azim Hassani (AS) on the anniversary of the revered figure’s demise.
Hojat-ol-Islam Mohsen Erfani, the scientific and cultural deputy of the Astan of Hazrat Abdul Azim (AS) said at a press conference on Sunday that the programs will be held with the motto of Jihad and Hijra (migration).
They will start on Monday evening with a speech about the teachings of the Sahifeh Sajjadiyeh, he noted.
On Tuesday, the flag of the holy shrine will be replaced with a black one and the Ziyarah of Hazrat Abdul Azim (AS) will be read out, he added.
Then there will be mourning rituals at the holy shrine on Tuesday evening, with Hojat-ol-Islam Momeni delivering a speech and Mohammad Reza Bazri and seyed Mohammad Reza Noushevar reciting elegies, Hojat-ol-Islam Erfani stated.
He went on to say that there will be more mourning programs on Wednesday, the day marking the demise anniversary, as well as Thursday and Friday.
Abdul Azim Hassani (AS), also known as Shah Abdol Azim, was a fifth generation descendant of Imam Hassan ibn Ali (AS) and a companion of Imam Muhammad Taqi (AS).
His holy shrine in Rey, south of the Iranian capital of Tehran, is a pilgrimage site that attracts millions of pilgrims from across the country and other parts of the world every year.
