AhlulBayt News Agency: The number of children who have been killed in the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip has surpassed 14,000 since October 7, 2023, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) announced on Friday.
“Current reports indicate that more than 14,000 boys and girls have been killed in Gaza,” UNICEF spokesman James Elder said in a post on X.
The UN organization official said, “Perhaps we should say it slowly: Fourteen thousand,” adding, “Perhaps we should do something, and it is certainly not a military attack in Rafah,” and called for an “immediate ceasefire” in the Strip.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel has been waging a devastating war on Gaza that has left more than 120,000 Palestinians as martyrs or wounded, most of them children and women, in addition to massive destruction and unprecedented famine that has claimed the lives of children and the elderly, according to Palestinian and UN statistical reports.
