Allameh Sadiq Jafari: Destruction of Baqi cemetery was a blow to heart of Islamic Ummah

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Hujjat al-Islam Allama "Sadiq Jafari", Chairman of Pakistan Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen in Karachi, issued a message on the occasion of the 8th Shawwal, the anniversary of the destruction of Al-Baqi cemetery.

He emphasized that the day of the destruction of Baqi cemetery was a day of mourning for the Islamic world and the destruction of this cemetery is a blow to the heart of the Islamic Ummah.

"By destroying the graves of AhluBayt (a.s.), the wives of the Prophet (PBUH) and the companions of the Prophet (PBUH), the Al Saud strengthened the anti-Islamic program of the Zionists. These treacherous rulers always supported the Jews and Christians instead of strengthening the power of Islam. How do rulers who oppose the oppressed Muslims in Palestine and Yemen and support the enemies of Islam such as Israel and America deserve to be called Muslims?," he added.

Referring to the non-reconstruction of the Baqi cemetery despite the change in the social approach of the Saudi regime, Jafari said the Saudi rulers have abandoned the path of extremism and chosen the path of liberalism, and have given freedom to hold music concerts and set up gambling houses. The behavior and character of those who destroyed the shrine of AhluBayt (a.s.) in the name of religion has changed from a social point of view. There is no longer any moral justification for the Saudi regime's refusal to rebuild the Baqi cemetery.

"The Saudi government should immediately announce measures to restore the Baqi cemetery to its former status and position," he added.
