Perfection of life after death / Two discourses from Ayatollah Khamenei

Our life's next phase is more perfect than our present life's phase. Today, we are captivated and limited in the four walls of body, says Ayatollah Khamenei.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Our life's next phase is more perfect than our present life's phase. Today, we are captivated and limited in the four walls of body, says Ayatollah Khamenei.

One of the main and basic points in the Islamic worldview is the issue of continuation of life after death. It means that life does not end with death. In Islam and, of course all divine religions, this notion is among the principles of worldview and it is effective. It should be known that all these principles of worldview are effective in regulation of life relations, in regulation of the pillars of the Islamic government, administration of society and world administration. It is not true that man will perish. It is [like] jumping over the stream and going to another phase; and then in that phase, it is the issue of calculation, Resurrection and things like that. (1)

The next phase of our life is more perfect than our present life's phase. Today, we are captivated and limited in the four walls of body. Although our intellect soars, our vision travels everywhere and our will overcomes many things, there are physical limitations for us. Yet, as for that different body in the Hereafter, this physical limitation does not exist and man becomes infinite in a very broader sense. It means that man, in the body after death and mainly on the Day of Resurrection, in paradise and hell, enjoys an existential broadness. This is what all religions maintain unanimously. And there are two types of life in that world: one is the pleasant, comfortable and perfect life from every aspect, and the other one is the bitter and hard life at the ultimate level of torture and severity. The first one is called paradise and the second one is called hell. (2)
