AhlulBayt News Agency: The scientific complex of the Holy Quran at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, Basra governorate branch, held a closing ceremony for the Quranic Khatmahs held in the holy month of Ramadhan.
The Khatmahs were supervised by the Institute of the Holy Quran in Najaf, part of the complex.
The closing ceremony began with a beautiful recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by the reader Fawaz Raed, followed by a speech by the representative of the supreme religious authority office in the Shatt al-Arab district; Sheikh Hamid al-Mayahi.
Then came the prayers segment, presented by the reader Natik Hashim, followed by the religious questions and Answers segment, and the distribution of gifts to the participants, to conclude the ceremony by honoring the readers of the Khatmahs with certificates of appreciation.
The institute organized three Khatmahs in the province of Basra during the holy month of Ramadhan with the participation of 12 readers, distributed to Zubair district - Imam Ali step mosque (peace be upon him), al-Houta district - Al-Abbas step mosque (peace be upon him), Shatt al-Arab district- the expected al-Hujjah mosque (may Allah hasten his holy reappearance).
Basra governorate is one of the five governorates covered by the Quranic Khatmahs supervised by the Holy Quran Institute in Najaf, namely (Najaf, Diwaniyah, Wasit, Maysan and Basra), with an average of (51) Quranic Khatmahs with the participation of more than (120) readers.
