AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Sheikh Ali Salman, Secretary General of al-Wefaq, considered the freedoms a positive step in the right direction and said: "People are waiting for bigger positive steps."
In a message from Bahrain's Central Prison, he emphasized that a good action will be answered with a good response, just like what is done for the homeland and for all its people.
Sheikh Ali Salman congratulated Eid al-Fitr to freedmen and those who are still in prison.
Last week, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of Bahrain, ordered the release of 1,584 prisoners on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr and the 25th anniversary of the beginning of his kingdom.
