AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Hujjat al-Islam Sheikh Abd al-Mahdi Karbalai met with Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Taqi Modarresi, senior Iraqi cleric.
Hujjat al-Islam Abdul Mahdi Karbalai, the custodian of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) shrine and representative of Ayatollah Sistani, met with Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Taqi Modarresi, an Iraqi scholar on Sunday, April 7.
In this meeting, Ayatollah Modarresi emphasized the need to pay attention to the architectural and cultural aspects of holy cities, especially the holy city of Karbala, so that the city reflects the essence of Islamic civilization, its history, and the honors of its great heroes and pious scholars.
He further noted,” The achievements in Karbala, especially in the holy shrines, are the result of the spirit of Hosseini movement, which is based on revolution, activity and sacrifice.”
The senior cleric also emphasized the need to draw a plan for the future of the holy city of Karbala, which includes the expansion and development of the two holy shrines in a way that is appropriate to the civil needs and the number of pilgrims that Karbala welcomes throughout the year in order to provide the necessities of pilgrims, especially during the Arbaeen walk.
