AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Pakistani Senator Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri has condemned the recent Israeli airstrike on the consular section of the Iranian Embassy in Syria, blaming Western countries for being complicit in the attack.
This act of aggression has been committed amid the continued support of the US and the UK for Israeli crimes in Gaza, the Pakistani lawmaker from Punjab said on Wednesday, also blaming other Western states for complicity in the attack.
Abbas Jafri, who is also the head of Pakistan’s Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen -- a Shia Islamic political organization -- said that the Israeli airstrike violated Syria’s sovereignty and the Vienna Convention, while threatening regional peace.
Therefore, he added, the UN Security Council and the international community should give a firm response to this reckless behavior.
The Israeli regime on Monday launched a missile attack on the consular section of the Iranian Embassy in the Syrian capital, killing seven Iranian military advisors, including two senior commanders, according to a statement by the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC).
The IRGC said in its statement that the Israeli regime conducted the attack following its defeat in the face of Palestinian resistance in Gaza.
