British Muslims participated in the first night of the Laylat al-Qadr rituals at the Islamic Center of England.
The British Islamic Center in London is one of the main centers of the Muslim community in Britain.
After praying and breaking the fast, Muslims recited the Quran on the night of Qadr, the 19th night of the holy month of Ramadan, putting Qur'an on their head, and reciting Dua (prayer) Jawshan Kabeer.
Speakers explained the importance of Qadr night in Farsi, English, and Arabic.
A number of Muslims also served meals for dinner.
