US-backed Israeli genocide in Gaza enters day 172

As the US-backed Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip entered day 172 on Tuesday, massive aerial and artillery strikes continued to pound neighborhoods, homes, shelter centers and aid convoys, and massacre more civilians, mostly children and women.

Ahlulbayt News Agency: As the US-backed Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip entered day 172 on Tuesday, massive aerial and artillery strikes continued to pound neighborhoods, homes, shelter centers and aid convoys, and massacre more civilians, mostly children and women.

A reporter for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) said that the Israeli occupation army continued to attack different areas of Gaza, killing and injuring hundreds of citizens, despite the resolution, adopted on Monday by the UN Security Council, calling for an immediate ceasefire for the holy month of Ramadan.

According to media sources, Issa al-Habbash, the brother of Palestinian chief justice Mahmoud al-Habbash, and his niece, Aisha al-Habbash, were martyred when an Israeli airstrike targeted them while they were trying to remove the rubble of a family home in al-Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, which had been bombed by the Israeli army last week.

Two martyrs were reported following an Israeli attack on al-Qarara town in northern Khan Yunis, while two citizens were killed in another attack in the east of al-Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza.

Media sources said that several casualties, including martyrs, were reported after the Israeli army opened fire at citizens as they were trying to check on their houses near Al-Shifa Hospital after they heard news that the Israeli army withdrew from the area.

The Israeli army also attacked tents sheltering displaced families in al-Mawasi area in Khan Yunis, killing seven civilians and wounding others from the family of al-Madhoun.

Another Israeli attack on Abu al-Hussein area, east of Rafah, injured a number of citizens and caused widespread destruction to homes and property.

15 civilians, including four children, were also killed and dozens were injured when the Israeli army bombed a house belonging to the family of Abu Nuqira in northern Rafah.
