AhlulBayt News Agency: The general secretariats of the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon them), in cooperation with the people of Karbala, organized the central annual festival commemorating the birth anniversary of Imam al-Hassan al-Mojtaba (peace be upon him).
The festival was held in its third edition in the courtyard of the shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him).
The festival witnessed the presence of a number of officials of the two holy shrines, in addition to a large number of visitors.
The festival included a speech to the two holy shrines delivered by the director of the Office of the Senior Official of the Al-Abbas's (p) shrine, Dr. Afdhal al-Shami".
Advisor to the secretary general of the Imam al-Hussayn's (p) shrine, Mr. Fadel Awaz has also made a statement in which he said, "The festival included many events and activities, including raising the banner of Imam al-Hassan (peace be upon him) at the door of the Qibla of the shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) in conjunction with the Holy Shrines and simultaneously, in addition to the speech of the Two Holy Shrines and the people of Karbala, as well as the recitation of a set of poems and religious Muwashahat by poets and Radoods,"he added.
