AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): French President Emmanuel Macron has issued yet another warning to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about any forced transfer of Palestinians from the southern Gaza city of Rafah, calling any such move a war crime.
Macron, in a telephone conversation with Netanyahu, also reiterated his opposition to any ground operation in Rafah, a city that is currently sheltering about 1.5 million Palestinians.
The French President informed Netanyahu that he is planning to submit a draft resolution to the UN Security Council to demand an immediate and lasting ceasefire in Gaza.
The Israeli regime has, so far, defied international calls, including those from its western backers to stop its genocidal war on Gaza that has internally displaced one-third of the population and pushed tens of thousands to the brink of famine.
In the continuation of his conversation, Macron also strongly condemned the Zionist regime's announcement on Friday regarding the seizure of 800 hectares of more Palestinian land in the occupied West Bank for new settlements.
Meanwhile, the German Foreign Ministry also condemned the regime's decision to confiscate Palestinian lands.
Berlin strongly condemns the announcement of the confiscation of more than 800 hectares of land belonging to Palestinians in the Jordan Valley region of the West Bank, the ministry wrote in a statement on its X social media account, adding that the move would further fuel tensions in this very fragile situation.
In a statement, the European Union also condemned the Israeli seizure of 800 hectares of Palestinian land, which was, announced by Bezalel Smotrich, the regime’s finance minister.
Peter Stano, the spokesperson for the EU foreign policy called it the biggest land confiscation since the signing of the Oslo Accords between the Palestine Liberation Organization and the Israeli regime in 1993.
He said that the bloc leaders, at the European Council meeting this week, condemned Israel's decision to continue with its illegal settlement expansion in the occupied West Bank.
All Israeli settlements are illegal under the Geneva Convention and international laws and are in breach of UN Security Council Resolution 2334.
