AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The wife of the Iranian president, Jamileh Alamolhoda, has called on spouses of Muslim leaders to push for efforts to relieve suffering of the Palestinian people in Gaza, and proposed the establishment of an international fund to help residents of the war-ravaged territory.
Alamolhoda sent letters to wives of presidents and prime ministers of Islamic countries on Wednesday, congratulating them on the beginning of the holy fasting month of Ramadan.
She called on them to demand their spouses make efforts to ease the woes of the Palestinian people in Gaza and form an international fund to help them.
President Ebrahim Raisi’s wife said that Ramadan this year is observed at a time when thousands of Palestinian mothers are mourning the death of their loved ones.
She called for action by Islamic countries and demanded the wives of Muslim leaders to contribute to efforts aimed at helping the people of Gaza in the absence of action by influential figures and international organizations to bring an end to the ongoing disaster in Gaza, which she blamed on the Israeli regime and its main ally, the US.
