Protest against Silicon Empire's blocking of social network accounts of Ayatollah Khamenei

Iran’s foreign minister has described Meta's action to block the accounts of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on Instagram and Facebook as insulting, immoral and illegal, in addition to violating freedom of expression.

Ahlulbayt News Agency: Iran’s foreign minister has described Meta's action to block the accounts of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on Instagram and Facebook as insulting, immoral and illegal, in addition to violating freedom of expression.

In an interview with the Middle East Eye news magazine, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said that the freedom of speech slogans of some Western regimes are hollow and showy slogans and a cover for their illegitimate political goals.

The FM added: “The Leader is the world's most prominent supporter of the oppressed people of Palestine and Gaza, and the Silicon Valley empire cannot prevent this voice from reaching world public opinion.”

He further mentioned that one of the signs of the breakdown of morality and the moral system of the world is the irrational behavior of American platforms in censoring the words of Ayatollah Khamenei and the supporters of the displaced people of Gaza and over 30,000 Palestinian martyrs in the last 5 months, and this company must answer for its illegal and unethical behavior.
