AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi, an Iranian source of emulation, stressed the need to learn the teachings of Imam Hussein (AS) and the goals of his uprising.
In a message to an international festival named “Ana Min Hussein”, the cleric said people should learn the teachings of Imam Hussein (AS) to get prepared for Intizar (awaiting the Savior).
The message was read out by Hojat-ol-Islam Darvishi at the festival’s opening ceremony.
Appreciating the organizers of the festival, Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi hoped that it would be a step toward promotion and spread of the Ashura culture among the youth.
He said the love for Imam Hussein (AS) is a manifestation of divine power that brings together all truth-loving and freedom-seeking people.
This love is not limited to Shias or Muslims but anyone who seeks the truth will become devoted to Imam Hussein (AS) once he learns about him, the senior cleric went on to say.
The “Ana Min Hussein” international festival was inaugurated Sunday morning at the holy shrine of Hazrat Abdul Azim Hassani (AS) in Rey, south of Tehran.
It includes competitions in the five categories of cinema and television, poetry, written works, cyberspace and special ideas.
The festival has been organized with the participation of 300 figures from 22 countries.
From among the submitted works, 74 will be selected and awarded at the closing ceremony on Monday.
