AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Ayatollah Modarresi, one of the Iraqi scholars, emphasized that the responsibility of building the society's culture is mainly on universities and seminary institutions.
Dr. Mohammad Hossein Abboud, the head of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences of Karbala University, and a group of faculty members met with Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Taqi Modarresi, one of the Iraqi scholars, in his office in Karbala on Friday, March 1.
In this meeting, Ayatollah Modarresi emphasized that the responsibility of building the society's culture is mainly the responsibility of universities and seminary institutions.
He pointed out that the faculties of Islamic sciences, which teach Islamic sciences both in the fields of Quran and Hadith, as well as in the fields of jurisprudence and principles, are a bridge that connect the academic path and the seminary.
This Iraqi scholar continued,” This link between the university and the seminary for the purpose of civilizational integration through the achievement of Islamic authenticity in the universities is achieved on the one hand by the development of their methods, it is also realized by combining originality and development on the other hand.”
Ayatollah Modarresi pointed out,” Students need informative lessons that take them to horizons other than the educational horizons they are experiencing in order to cultivate the spirit of faith and piety in them and strengthen their relationship with God Almighty.”
