AhlulBayt News Agency: At least two rescue workers were martyred as Israeli warplanes targeted a health center in the southern border town of Blida, prompting Hezbollah to heavily retaliate.
The Islamic Health Society announced on Friday that two of its staff embraced martyrdom All the Way to Al-Quds, after one of its civil defense centers was struck by an Israeli air strike in Blida.
The health organization named the two martyrs as Mohammad Yaakoub Ismail (Abu Yaakoub), from Blida, and Mohammad Hussein Khalil (Hussein), from Barasheet.

The strike on the Islamic Health Society’s civil defense center in Blida took place late on Thursday, Al-Manar correspondent in south Lebanon reported.
Lebanese Health Ministry denounced the attack on the health center, stressing that the aggression “violates international laws.”
In a statement, the Lebanese ministry emphasized importance of “neutralizing health facilities and rescue workers who perform their medical and humanitarian duties.”

Hezbollah Retaliation
In retaliation to the Israeli aggression, Hezbollah flew on Friday two kamikaze drones, achieving accurate hits in the Israeli command headquarters of the Upper Galilee Regional Council, a statement by the group’s Islamic Resistance read.
“In support of our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, in endorsement of their courageous and honorable resistance, and in response to the Israeli attacks on (Lebanese) southern villages and civilian homes, most recently the attack on the Civil Defense Center in Blida, the Islamic Resistance fighters staged at 09:30 on Friday (February 23, 2024) strikes with two kamikaze drones that accurately targeted the headquarters of the Upper Galilee Regional Council in Kiryat Shmona,” the statement, released by Hezbollah Military Media read.
Israeli media reported that ‘hostile’ aircraft sirens activated in multiple locations including in Kiryat Shmona, Metulla and Kfar Yuval.
The occupation military then confirmed that an aerial attack was carried out in the Zionist entity’s north, claiming that one aerial target was intercepted. It also alleged that “there are no reports that the council’s headquarters was hit.”
The Israeli occupation army rarely announces the nature of attacks staged against military targets, as it refrains from declaring accurate figures regarding the losses, especially the number of casualties among the Zionist personnel.
In a second statement, Hezbollah military media indicated that the Islamic Resistance fighters targeted Al-Malkiya site at 04:00 pm on Friday, February 23, 2024, with two Burkan missiles, achieving direct hits.
Hezbollah military media’s third statement maintained that the Islamic Resistance fighters targeted Ruwaisat Al-Alam site in the occupied Lebanese Shebaa Farms at 04:20 pm on Friday, February 23, 2024, with missile weapons, achieving direct hits.

Meanwhile on Friday, Hezbollah mourned Martyr All the Way to Al-Quds Mohammad Hasan Tarraf (Ahmad), also from Blida village.
Resistance Documents Attacks on Israeli Sites
Earlier on Thursday, Hezbollah’s Military Media released two footages of previous operations staged by the Islamic Resistance against Israeli sites.
The first video showed an operation that targeted Israeli military equipment at Birkat Risha site. The strike took place earlier on Thursday.
The second video showed another Hezbollah strike on an Israeli gathering of Israeli enemy soldiers inside a house in Metulla Israeli border settlement. The operation also took place on Thursday.
