AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): "Shia life in the world" media project unveiled during a ceremony attended by Hojjat al-IslamDr. Mahdi Farmanian, Scientific and Cultural deputy of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly and Mohammad Sarfi, the editor-in-chief of the Tehran Times, at ABNA News Agency's booth in the Iran Media Expo.
Hojjat al-Islam Farmanian pointed out the importance of the "Shia life in the world" media project and stated: This project is very useful and productive. The discussion of the situation of Shiites in the world has several dimensions, one of which is the social environment, and in that we must estimate the population of Shiites, the number of their centers, and what they do. Another part of it is the individual life of the Shiites of the world, that a person is present as a Shia in a country and he has a set of beliefs and customs that may be his beliefs and customs does not fit with the people who live next to him.
"We in the Scientific and Cultural Vice-Chancellor of the World Assembly of Ahl al-Bayt (AS) are serving the Shia life project with everything we can. This project can further become books of real stories of Shiites who live in different countries and have different customs and cultures," he added.
Mohammad Sarfi,th e editor-in-chief of the Tehran Times, said said that media project of Shiite life in the world is an important work. As a media person, I must say that Westerners, who control the world's media space, transmit a distorted image of Muslims in general and Shiites in particular to the world.
"The media project of Shiite life in the world can correct the distorted and unrealistic image of Shiites to some extent and present a real image of a Muslim person and especially a Shiite person to non-Muslims," he said.
