Iranian arts expo, Quranic workshop planned in Thailand in holy Ramadan

An exhibition of Iranian arts and culture and a workshop on Quranic scripts are planned to be organized in Thailand during the holy month of Ramadan.

AhlulBayt News Agency: An exhibition of Iranian arts and culture and a workshop on Quranic scripts are planned to be organized in Thailand during the holy month of Ramadan.

They will be held from the 10th to the 20th day of the holy month.

During this period, a number of prominent Iranian qaris will also travel to Thailand to attend Quran recitation programs for the country’s Muslims.  

The holding of the expo and the workshop was discussed in a recent meeting between Iranian Cultural Attaché in Thailand Mehdi Zare Bieyb and director and members of the board of trustees of the Islamic Center of Thailand.

In this meeting, Zare Bieyb said the Cultural Center of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Thailand has had good cooperation with the Southeast Asian country’s institutes and societies and is ready to expand the cooperation with the Islamic Center of Thailand especially in holding joint cultural and scholarly activities.

He said the Iranian Cultural Center is also ready to invite qaris and Tawasheeh groups to Thailand and screen Iranian movies and religious TV series.

The Iranian Cultural Center plans to organize a Quranic and art exhibition at the Islamic Center of Thailand’s conference hall during Ramadan.

The director of the Thai Islamic Center in this meeting welcomed the development of ties and holding of joint religious and cultural programs.

He also said the center’s activities are aimed at elevating the Islamic knowledge of Thai Muslims and enhancing Muslim unity.
