AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian has called on the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to hold an emergency meeting of the council of foreign ministers regarding the latest situation in Gaza.
In a phone call with the Secretary General of the OIC Hossein Ebrahim Taha on Thursday, Amirabdollahian discussed the latest situation in occupied Palestine and the developments related to the recent Israeli aggression.
He expressed deep regret and condemned the continued attacks and aggressions of the Zionist regime against the city of Rafah in southern Gaza and the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza.
The top diplomat called for more action from the international community, especially the OIC to stop the ongoing atrocities.
Referring to the dire humanitarian situation in northern Gaza and the medical and health problems and restrictions, the official stressed the need to adopt urgent solutions to facilitate the sending of humanitarian aid and shipments, especially medical and pharmaceutical items.
For his part, Taha expressed his concern and condemned the continued attacks of the Zionist regime against Gaza and presented a report on the actions and activities of the Organization.
He vowed to consider the emergency meeting and consult with the member states about it.
