AhlulBayt News Agency: The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) is to hold an emergency meeting on the US airstrikes in Iraq and Syria that caused fatalities and considerable material damage across the Arab countries.
The emergency meeting of the Security Council to discuss the US aggression was requested by permanent member Russia and is scheduled to take place at 4:00 pm local time (2100 GMT) on Monday.
The United States claimed to have targeted more than 85 sites belonging to militants affiliated with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Forces and associated formations in Iraq and Syria.
This action was undertaken as part of retaliatory strikes for an attack against its military base in Jordan.
