AhlulBayt News Agency: More than 10,000 Quranic circles are planned to be held during the Ten-Day Fajr (dawn) ceremonies marking the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution’s victory, an official said.
Hojat-ol-Islam Ali Taqizadeh, who heads the Quran committee of the headquarters for organizing ceremonies on the Ten-Day Fajr, made the remark in a press conference in Tehran on Monday, adding that in a few days, the 6th Quranic convoy of the Islamic Revolution will start traveling to different cities to hold Quranic circles.
He noted that special Quran recitation programs will also be held for women.
There will also be Quran contemplation programs as well as specialized workshops on Quran recitation, memorization, Tajweed, Sawt, Lahn and Quranic lifestyle, the cleric stated.
Among other Quranic events on the occasion will be a photo exhibition with the theme of “Quran, Imam (Khomeini), the Ummah and the Islamic Revolution”, he added.
Hojat-ol-Islam Ali Taqizadeh further referred to the Quranic achievements of the Islamic Republic of Iran and said that thanks to the victory of the Islamic Revolution and the movement led by Imam Khomeini (RA), the scope of Quranic activities and programs in the country has been outstanding compared to those before the revolution.
Every year, millions of Iranians across the country observe ten days of celebrations marking the anniversary of the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution that put an end to the monarchy of the US-backed Pahlavi regime in the country.
The day of Imam Khomeini’s return to Iran (February 1 this year) marks the beginning of the Ten Day Fajr (Ten Days of Dawn), which culminates with rallies on the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution on February 11.
The Iranian nation toppled the US-backed Pahlavi regime 45 years ago, ending the 2,500 years of monarchic rule in the country.
The Islamic Revolution spearheaded by the late Imam Khomeini established a new political system based on Islamic values and democracy.
