AhlulBayt News Agency: The representative of the supreme religious authority in India; Sayed Ahmad al-Abedi, confirmed that the festival of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) is one of the largest festivals held in India, specifically in Mumbai, this city full of believers, as their numbers reach more than 3 million believers.
"We extend our sincere thanks to the delegation of the holy shrines for the efforts exerted in making this festival a success with its various activities and events, and we hope that it will reach all the countries of believers,"al-Abedi said.
The festival was held by the Al-Abbas's (P) holy shrine under the slogan(The Commander of the Faithful - peace be upon him – Harun of the Imamate and the witness on the day of resurrection); on the birth anniversary of Imam Ali(peace be upon him), at the Mukul mosque in Mumbai, and lasted for three days; with the participation of the holy shrines, and aims to spread the culture of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and their knowledge.
The festival included various activities and events, including visiting religious schools, presenting honorary gifts, as well as holding a Quranic Forum, a book fair, and holding a lottery for the winners to have the honor of visiting the holy shrines in Iraq.
