AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Deputy of International Affairs of the Central Headquarters of Itikaf said,” In order to increase and develop the network and coherence of the spiritual ceremonies of Itikaf in the countries of the world, we are looking for the establishment of Itikaf Headquarters and Itikaf Steering Committee offices in different regions of the world, and so far, two regional offices have been established in Lebanon and Tanzania.”
Hujjat al-Islam Seyyed Mohammad Baqir Tekyei said in a press conference on Sunday, January 27 that the network and coherence of the spiritual ritual of Itikaf is developing in the world.
The Deputy of International Affairs of the Central Headquarters of Itikaf said,” For the countries of West Asia, the Headquarters of the Itikaf and the Steering Council of the Itikaf have been set up ten months ago in Lebanon.”
He stated,” another regional office of the Central Headquarters of Itikaf has been set up in Tanzania for East African countries; We hope, God willing, with the establishment of the next regional offices, a coherent network of Itikaf will be established in the world and a regular program will be carried out to promote this ritual.”
Tekyei further noted,” With this event, a communication network will soon be established between intellectuals, writers, artists and researchers in the field of Itikaf all over the world.”
He stated that in 100 countries of the world, Ramadan and Rajab Itikaf ceremonies are held annually, and added,” The seventh biennial international Itikaf festival is also being followed jointly in Iran and Lebanon. The closing ceremony of the scientific section will be held in Beirut with the presence of international scholars.”
