AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Pointing out that Friday prayer tribunes have always sought to implement justice, fight against corruption, discrimination and poverty, and have followed this demand carefully and sensitively, the President said, "This role-playing of Friday imams is a divine blessing for the people and officials".
Speaking this Monday morning at the "26th nationwide gathering of Friday Prayer Imams of the country", Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi offered condolences on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hadi (PBUH), calling the Friday prayer as having an effective position and diverse functions in various fields of worship, spirituality, resistance, standing, politics and explanation of political and social issues.
The President described Friday prayer imams as the refuge of the people and an effective personality in enlightening public opinion, creating hope and resolving the mental knots of the society and said, "Friday prayer imams resolve the mental knots that are created either due to neglect or enmity in the society".

The President described and clarified the Friday prayer imams among the real and caring reformers of the society and the system who follow the issues diligently, adding, "The clerics and Friday and congregational prayer imams throughout history have paid a lot to reform the society, increase knowledge, and educate the people".
Dr Raisi stated that Friday prayer imams are those who always stand against hypocrisy and injustice and are not willing to back down and give up.
Emphasising that the behaviour of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in speech and action today is the final reason for you and me, the President noted, "The Supreme Leader, whether before the victory of the Islamic Revolution or after the Islamic Revolution, and in the company of the late Imam Khomeini and after that, as the successor of the founder of the Islamic Republic, were and is a role model in thought and action".
Dr Raisi said, "Sometimes we are told that what is the discourse of the Popular Administration? In my answer, I have said that the discourse of this government is the discourse of the Imam Khomeini and the Supreme Leader".
The President added, "What some governments have introduced as their discourse under the title of one or two words, was actually the slogan of those governments, because discourse is something that must be institutionalised".
Pointing out that today the blood of martyrs and the presence of people in various fields under the guidelines of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution as well as scientific and technological advances have produced authority for the country, he noted, "Our duty is to protect this authority and then, while trying to improve, to use it to solve problems and increase social welfare".
Dr Raisi added, "As the government, we will try to make the most of the power created for the country to solve problems, pave the way and increase the hope of the society".
Dr Raisi mentioned the fight against corruption as one of the central principles of the government and by stating that in the few cases of corruption that occurred in this period, the government itself was the discoverer and exposer, and added, "Be sure that corruption will not be tolerated in this government and we will never allow corruption to take root in any position".
The President continued to appreciate the non-interference of the country's Friday prayer imams in the appointments and stated, "Despite the fact that sometimes various pressures from some people make the government managers tired, until today, even in a single case, the Friday prayer imams have not interfered in the appointments".
In the end, Dr Raisi emphasised the necessity of preserving the country's cultural identity in the age of communication and information expansion and said, "One of the most effective issues in reducing crime is adherence to religious issues and attention to cultural identity, which the role of Friday imams across the country and statesmen in maintaining and promoting this capital and great heritage of the country is important".
