Massive Pro-Palestine demo outside White House on ‘Global Day of Action’

Thousands Americans have gathered in front of the White House in Washington to demand an immediate ceasefire and an end to Israel's genocidal campaign in the Gaza Strip.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Thousands Americans have gathered in front of the White House in Washington to demand an immediate ceasefire and an end to Israel's genocidal campaign in the Gaza Strip.

The protesters in Saturday's demonstration held banners with slogans such as “Don't vote for Joe's genocide", "Biden's hands are stained with blood”, “Let Gaza live”, referring to the US President’s candidacy in the 2024 election and his support for the Zionist regime.

The protest was part of the Gaza Global Day of Action that also saw hundreds of thousands taking to the streets in major world capitals as Israel faces the charge of genocide at the International Court of Justice.

The Association of the Palestinian Community in the UK and the Stop The War Coalition had said the marches would form the largest coordinated international movement against the aggression of the Zionist regime against the Gaza Strip.

“The Global Day of Action, from Australia through to Asia, Europe and the Americas, is the first coordinated, international movement against the war being waged by Israel on the Palestinian people. It will send a powerful message not just to the Israelis but to the Western powers who are backing them that the public say not in our name," said prominent anti-war activist Kate Hudson.

Brits out in streets for 14th week

Meanwhile, thousands of people from all walks of life and representing different sections of the British society once again hit the streets of London to decry the barbaric crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza as well as denounce the UK and the US for their recent military aggression against Yemen for the Arab country’s support for defenseless Palestinians.

Some of them wore masks bearing the faces of British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and US President Joe Biden and raised their hands, which were stained with red paint, in a sign of bloodshed in Gaza and the two leaders’ unconditional support for Israel.

The British capital has seen pro-Palestine rally for the fourteenth consecutive week. Stop the occupation" and "Free Palestine" as usual were the slogans of protesters who also carried Palestinian flags on Saturday.

Statistics show that 80% of British citizens support an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, but the conservative government of Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has declared its full support for the Zionist regime since the beginning of the Gaza war, ignoring the loss of innocent Palestinian lives.

Dutch solidarity with Gazans

Hundreds of people in the Netherlands also declared their support for the Palestinians by holding a demonstration in the capital Amsterdam, and condemning the Israeli onslaught on the Gaza Strip.

"Palestine will be liberated from the river to the sea", "Ceasefire now", "Stop the genocide", "Genocide is happening in Palestine", are the slogans of protesters and shown on the banners they held.

The protesters also supported South Africa's lawsuit against Israel at the International Court of Justice in The Hague and demanded that the court take action against the crimes being committed by this regime.

Over the past 100 days, the Zionist regime has carried out relentless bombardment and shelling across the Gaza Strip, with the death toll now approaching 24,000, mostly women and children. Over 60,000 Palestinians have also been injured while the territory has been turned into the rubble by the regime warplanes and tanks.
