AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Planning Council of Sunni Religious Science Schools of Iran issued a statement on Thursday, denouncing the terrorist attacks in the southeastern city of Kerman a day earlier.
The bitter incident, which took place on the martyrdom anniversary of General Qassem Soleimani, showed the extent of the enemies’ hatred toward the Iranian nation who are united in pursuing their ideals, the statement said.
The council also offered condolences to families of the victims and called for punishing those behind the explosions, which according to the Iranian Health Ministry, left 84 people dead.
On Wednesday, Sunni clerics in North Khorasan province also issued a statement, calling on Iranian security and judicial bodies to firmly deal with the perpetrators of the blasts.
Prominent Iranian Sunni leader and the Friday prayer leader of Sunnis Makki Mosque in Zahedan, Molavi Abdul Hamid, also strongly condemned the terrorist attack, describing it as shocking.
The Daesh (ISIS) terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the attacks.
