Iran unity, security, strategy unaffected by terrorist acts: Pres. Raisi

Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi, in a phone conversation with Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, asserted that the Islamic Republic's unity, security, and strategy remain unaffected by the recent terrorist attacks.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi, in a phone conversation with Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, asserted that the Islamic Republic's unity, security, and strategy remain unaffected by the recent terrorist attacks.

During the Wednesday call, Raeisi expressed his appreciation for Erdoğan's condolences following the heinous terrorist incident that occurred in the southern Iranian city of Kerman on the 4th anniversary of the martyrdom of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, a revered figure in the fight against terrorism and violence in the region.

Raeisi emphasized that the enemies' misguided belief that terrorism can achieve their illegitimate goals has been repeatedly proven false. He reiterated that the Iranian nation's unwavering unity and resolve have defied the nefarious attempts to disrupt the country's security and stability.

Regarding the Palestinian people's aspirations for self-determination, Raeisi asserted that the future belongs to the Palestinians and the Zionist regime's ambitions will never come to fruition. He reiterated the need to dismantle the Zionist war machine that has brought untold suffering to the Palestinian people.

Erdoğan, in his response, reiterated Turkey's unwavering support for Iran in combating all forms of terrorism. He condemned the recent terrorist attacks, stating that they serve as a stark reminder of the urgent need to decisively combat terrorism in all its manifestations.

The two leaders concluded their conversation by reaffirming their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and promoting peace and stability in the region.

The blasts in Kerman, which left at least 103 people dead and 211 others injured, occurred near the tomb of Lieutenant General Soleimani, just as Iran was commemorating his martyrdom anniversary.
