AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Some Iranians and those interested in the Islamic revolution attended the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in London and paid tribute to the martyred Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani and his companions.

General Soleimani, the commander of the Quds Force of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), and Iraq's Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) deputy head Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis were assassinated along with their companions in a US drone strike authorized by former President Donald Trump near Baghdad International Airport on January 3, 2020.

"Mahdi Hosseini Matin", the Chargé d'Affaires of the Iranian Embassy in Britain, said on Tuesday at the ceremony of the fourth anniversary of the martyrdom of Gen. Soleimani: "The valuable legacy of Martyr Soleimani is inspiring, valuable, and permanent for Iran and all those interested in the Islamic Revolution, as well as the parallel intellectual currents in different regions of the world."

Hosseini Matin stated that the martyr Soleimani was an expert in the field of foreign policy and international relations and had strategic vision and noted," This martyred commander was a scholar of politics and international relations and was fully familiar with the features of the structure of the international system, and was well aware of the role of regional and international actors."

He also considered one of the important characteristics of Martyr Soleimani as the ability to create mainstreaming and emphasized that Martyr Soleimani created a stream of resistance against global arrogance and coercive powers, especially the US, and for this reason the US assassinated General Soleimani in a criminal act.
