Ceremony planned at Islamic Centre of England on Hazrat Zahra birth anniversary

The Islamic Centre of England will host a ceremony next week to celebrate the birth anniversary of Hazrat Zahra (SA).

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Islamic Centre of England will host a ceremony next week to celebrate the birth anniversary of Hazrat Zahra (SA).

It will be organized on Tuesday, January 2, on the eve of the auspicious occasion.

A number of clerics and Muslim figures, including Ayid Qassim al-Jalali, Sheikh Mirza Abbas, Basem al-Daraji, Sheikh Mohammad Jafar Salehi and Sheikh Mohammad Bakhtiari will attend the program.

The center has invited all Shia Muslims and devotees of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) to take part in the celebration.

The 20th day of the month of Jumada al-Thani in the lunar Hijri calendar, which falls on Wednesday, January 3, this year, marks the birth anniversary of the beloved daughter of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

It is also celebrated as the women’s day and mother’s day.

The Islamic Centre of England (ICEL) was established in 1998.

According to its website, ICEL is a religious and cultural center providing the following services:

- Spiritual and ethical guidance for the Muslim community at large;

- Meeting the social, cultural, educational and recreational needs of community members, especially women and the younger generation;

- Disseminating authentic Islamic knowledge in order to provide a better understanding of Islam for people of other faiths;

- Creating Islamic think tanks to conduct dialogue on contemporary issues such as epidemics and environmental problems;

- And establishing closer ties with people of different faiths and cultures from across the world.
