AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): More than 100 women from 10 countries attended a conference in Mashhad, Iran, to propagate the civilizational mindset of Hazrat Zahra (SA), the daughter of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Titled “Pioneering Women in Fatimia Civilization”, the international conference began on Friday. It is hosted by the Islamic Research Foundation of Imam Reza shrine.
The executive secretary of the summit, Gholampour, said the event aims to "clarify the characteristics of civilizing women, establish an active international network based on the capacities of Imam Reza shrine, pave the way for interaction with international women’s organizations, and elucidate women’s position in relation to resistance and justice".
The two-day event is held under the auspices of the Deputy Office for International Affairs in collaboration with other international organizations.
The participants include women leaders, activists, scholars and media professionals from countries such as England, Australia, Bahrain and Pakistan.
One of the speakers at the summit, Ensieh Khazali, the Vice President for Women and Family Affairs of Iran, said: "Women play a pivotal role in elucidating Hazrat Fatima’s civilizational mindset".
Hazrat Zahra (AS) is revered by Muslims as a role model for women and a leader of social movements.
